The festival will begin with an opening event presenting this year’s programme of the XIV International M. K. Čiurlionis Music Festival in Vilnius, accompanied by a welcoming concert, “Čiurlioniukai for Čiurlionis.”
The concert programme will feature works by Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, composers of his era, and other composers. They will be performed by current and former students of the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art – affectionately known as čiurlioniukai – together with their friends.
Concert host – Lukrecija Stonkutė
The concert is organised in collaboration with the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.
